Several. The portraits gathered in this collection were all part of different projects made for different clients.
As I always said in my bio, I could draw faces for the rest of my life. I do not see anything as interesting to draw as the human figure and in particular the human face. We are 5 billion people on this earth and yet we all have a different face, a different way to express emotions, or lack of it. We all have a different posture and everything to it is specific to such an extent you can actually recognize someone's walking stance from far, far away. Working on portraits, I am trying to figure out what makes our expressions so specific, what is it that makes us recognize one's face with such certainty, even after many years sometimes. With those portraits, I work on the human figure but also on vision, on recognizing patterns, not as a scientist though, as a painter.
